Brand new for 2008, Estee Lauder launches Pure White Linen Light Breeze, a fragrance "inspired by the days you'll want to relive forever." It's a transparent scent that opens with a bright burst of citrus, particularly a sparkling grapefruit and a hint of tea (no telling if it's Darjeeling or not though). Equally sparkly are the floral notes that come next then merge into a vaguely salty skin accord with the barest support of light woods.
The press release for Pure White Linen Light Breeze tells no lies: it is a summer afternoon spent frolicking by the seaside, drinking lemonade (and perhaps spilling some on one's clothing). I can smell the sun warmed skin, the slight salty tang of the water. It's light, pretty, refreshing, and will no doubt find its way into many a summer fragrance wardrobe.
