Montale Roses Musk
Notes: roses, musk, mint
Parisian perfume house Montale, famous for their use of oudh (agar, aloeswood) in perfumery, also has a regular perfume line, Roses Musk is one of their newest.
This starts off as a pleasant, if not earth-shattering, combination of a dry fresh rose petal aroma couple dwith a lovely slightly sweet musk. But wait...what's that other aroma? It's sharp, maybe a little metallic, and undeniably skanky. Oh…urine. Not mint. There almost seems to be a bit of citrus, or woods, hiding behind the offending note, but I detect no mint at all. A shame, as it would have been greatly preferred.
Roses Musk is a linear scent, changing not at all once the urine note comes forth (in the first few seconds). Hours later, it smells exactly the same - roses, musk, and pee—the same nasty note I get from Angel. I've spoken to one other person who has tried this perfume, and she, fortunately, doesn't get the pee. Hopefully you won’t either.
