
I remember being obsessed with this particular lipstick in 1979. I was transitioning from 8th grade into high school that year and wanted to appear more adult. My mother didn't have a problem with my wearing a little makeup, since she was pretty subtle with it and trusted me to be as well. And we used to mock the same 70s styles, including the bright blue eyeshadow that was so popular for a while there. Mom called it "garage door" eyes.
I never did get the Revlon lipstick, but a new HS friend had an Avon Lady for a mother, so I scored a similar shade of their nasty-tasting lippie. 1979 was also the year I stopped biting my nails - just so I could wear the Avon nail polish that was now in my reach.
So that's it - no big changes, just additions. I hope you like them!
